We have 2 different couples workshops available. The full day is designed for those who haven’t undertaken the 6-week BodyMind Birthing course (although this can be done if you have done the 6-week course), and the half day training is for those who have undertaken the 6-week course and want to focus on the partner support.
Couples Full Day
This is a 5 hour workshop covering the BodyMind Birthing techniques. These include birth physiology, how to create the perfect emotional and physical environment to optimise physiology, hypnobirth, breathing for birth, mindfulness for birth, massage and counter pressure for birth, Spinning Babies techniques, biomechanics for birth, advocacy and how best to communicate with your caregivers to get the care you want.

Couples Half Day
The 2.5-hour workshops in Tunbridge Wells can be taken on completion of your 6-week course to help you and your partner try out possible birthing movements, massage, counter pressure and Spinning Babies techniques to optimise the biomechanics of birth. We also look at ways they can best advocate and support you during birth.
Half Day Workshop Dates
Sunday 20th Oct. 10am - 12.30pm. £75 per couple.
Sunday 15th Dec. 10am - 12.30pm. £75 per couple.
Sunday 16th Feb. 10am - 12.30pm. £75 per couple.

This 5-hour workshop is for couples preparing to welcome another child into the clan. We cover the anatomy, physiology and hormones of birth, breathing for birth, birth partners support, massage for labour, postnatal considerations. We look at the variables of labour and how we can influence the mindbody connection with some powerful tools you can do in preparation (including hypnobirth, breathwork & mindfulness). We also look at the historical and social context of birth with research and statistics which may help you decide on the best place for you to have your baby.
It’s like a locker room pep talk before going back onto the field. 💪
Group workshops take place at Bubba & Me in Tunbridge Wells.
Private workshops take place in your home or travel to me in Uckfield. I can travel 30 mins from Uckfield at no extra cost.

‘‘Hypnobirthing and active labour techniques really worked well for me - I was so in the zone that I didn’t believe I could be in established labour and nearly left it too late to leave for the birth centre. Molly was born 7 minutes after we arrived at Maidstone and despite the slightly frantic car journey (including my waters breaking while we were stuck at a level crossing waiting for a train to pass!) I was able to get back to calm quickly enough to gently breathe her out into the world without any need for stitches afterwards.
