‘Following the birth of my first baby, my husband kindly signed me up for the post natal yoga course at Kingdom. The class has been the highlight of my week and I’ve just resigned for a second term. Everything about it is fantastic.

Through both the yoga practice and mindfulness, Brigid brings positivity and practical reassurance to the tired group of mums, helping us to leave the room feeling calm and energised. The babies love the classes too; we sing them songs and end the session with baby massage. The surroundings are beautiful as well.

Each week once the class is finished I go to the cafe and for a walk while my tired little one snoozes in the sling - often with another mum. So, I get to eat, have a good chat and my baby gets a good sleep. Well-being fully restored!’

I had been told my baby was measuring big and had been recommended induction but completing this course allowed me to move from a place of fear to empowerment and to have the birth I wanted. I ended up having the most incredible birth at a stand alone birth centre (rather than the hospital).

I remembered the advice and skills from the course, breathing through contractions allowed me to actually enjoy the sensation of birth without the need for pain relief or any interventions.
